Terms of service

What Hei is

Hei is software operated by Chosen IT Business Solutions Ltd that lets a business take orders and payments over WhatsApp and USSD. We carry the messages and the money. We do not sell anything ourselves, we do not hold stock, and we are not party to what you agree with a business.

If you are buying

• Your contract for the goods is with the business, not with us. Questions about what arrived, when, and in what condition go to them.
• Prices, stock, delivery and returns are set by the business and shown as they entered them.
• Reply STOP at any time to stop hearing from a business.
• If a business will not resolve something, tell us. We cannot settle a dispute for you, but a business that repeatedly fails its customers does not stay on Hei.

If you are selling

• You are responsible for what you sell, what you say about it, and for meeting the orders you accept.
• You message customers who contacted you, and those who agreed to hear from you. Buying or scraping numbers is not permitted.
• You keep to WhatsApp's own Business and Commerce policies. Their rules govern the number, and a breach can cost every business on the shared one.
• Nothing illegal, nothing you are not licensed to sell, and nothing that would put the platform's number at risk.
• Your data is yours. Ask and we will export it; leave and we will delete it.

Money

Payments are processed by Paystack, and their terms apply to that leg. A payment charged to a customer includes the processor's fee and our platform fee, so the business receives the price it set. Payouts arrive on the account the business registered, on Paystack's schedule. Refunds are between the business and its customer; we will help but cannot compel one.

Suspension

We can take a shop page down or suspend an account without notice where there is fraud, illegality, or a real risk to the shared WhatsApp number. We will say why. Where it is a mistake, we will put it back.

What we do not promise

Hei depends on WhatsApp, mobile networks and payment providers we do not control, and it will sometimes be unavailable. We do our best and we will tell you when something is wrong, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for a business's lost sales or a customer's lost order beyond what the law requires of us.

Changes and law

We will post changes here and tell businesses before anything material takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
